A monumental propaganda work on Herr Hitler, Der Fuhrer, 9" x 12", The quality of the photographs is excellent, but one giant picture at the end, which opens out to 6 solid pages all joined together showing "Standartenweihe im Luitpoldhain1933" A vast sea of Hitler's armed forces in a giant arena. All photographs were taken and carefully selected by Heinrich Hoffmann, Adolf Hitler's official photographer. Hoffmann's photography was used. A chilling piece of German history and a fascinating example of the NSDAP's propaganda machine. Volume shows some shelf wear, name on half-title page, good plus overall. Record # 381147

Cigarreten Bilderdienst Altona Bahrenfeld, 1933 "101.-200. Tausend." Label at base of spine and rear endpaper removed leaving a light mark and some fraying of the cloth. A name stamped at the top of the pages has been scraped off leaving a scrape mark which is a bit indented into the top of the pages. Otherwise it gives a nice appearance in and out. Boards mildly soiled. Internal contents, including images and panorama, clean and intact. 62 color images. . Hard Cover. Good+/No Jacket.

Neatly written atop front free endpaper is the signature of a member of the Canadian Army Occupation Force (C.A.O.F.) 1945-46, who presumably brought this book home as a memento of his duty in post-WWII Germany. No other markings. Binding intact. Moderate wear. Epic six-panel foldout photo of Nuremberg rally at back is present and intact, although moderately misfolded in places. This copy has been respectully handled over these many years so remains in quality condition.
