Card Covers. 2 pages; Clean and complete in glossy green pictorial wrappers with caricature portrait of Justice Hugo L. Black on front wrapper. This card folder contains five of the first issue stamps with the Justice's image and a First Day cancel mark. Also included is the programme for the event presided over by John R. Cochran, Postmaster with a Welcome address by Honorable Warren E Burger and an Address by Louis A Cox, General Counsel for the U.S. Postal Service. There is a five paragraph tribute to Justice Black printed beneath the stamps. Justice Hugo L. Black's "skillful interpretation of Constitutional law has secured him a place on teh Supreme Court's honor role alongside such greats as John Marshall and Oliver Wendell Holmes. .

At The Antiquarian Book Shop, located in Georgetown - an historic neighborhood of Washington, D.C. we have been buying, selling & appraising rare, interesting and scholarly books in Georgetown for more than 30 years.
