Published by Houghton Mifflin Company, New York, 1930. 12mo [5" x 7 3/8"], pp. With its rare original dust jacket with "Sixtieth Thousand" stated at the bottom of the front panel. The dust jacket is very good condition. Chips, creases, and tears present along the edges of the panels, spine and flaps. The spine is lacking at the edges, affecting the title. Light wear to the panels. The original price of $2.50 is present on the front flap. The book is in very good plus to near fine condition. The black cloth boards are beautifully preserved with crisp edges. The red lettering on the front board is clear and vibrant. The lettering on the spine is worn. Previous owner's signature in ink on the front endpaper. The contents are clean and bright, like new, with tight binding. A remarkable copy of this Pulitzer Prize winning classic.
