Near fine hardback in a VG dust jacket. 6.25 x 9.5 in., 304 pages. Austrian climber Diemberger has the distinction of being the only alpinist to have made two first ascents of Himalayan 8,000 meter peaks: Broad Peak in 1957 and Dhaulagiri in 1960. This book is his second and includes his first ascent of Shartse in 1974, ascents of Makalu and Gasherbrum, and filming projects on Everest and K2. Boldly signed by Diemberger on the title page.
