First edition, first printing. 211 pp. Bound in original paper-covered boards with gilt stamping, original obi band, housed in publisher's checkerboard slipcase. Very Good+ with foxing to edges, rubbing along edges to boards and obi band, faint small stain to spine of obi band, in slightly rubbed slipcase with a little staining, slight ding to spine. A classic introduction to Zen Buddhism for Western readers, beautifully designed with Eastern elegance and illustrated with woodblock prints, rarely found in such lovely shape.
