Quarto 24x15 cm., original wrappers bound in full morocco 24.5x17 cm., 246pp.
With 7 pasted-in illustrations including frontispiece. The book is printed on laid paper. Title page in Latvian, texts in Russian, Latvian, English and other languages. On October 10 and 11, 1937, a congress of Roerich societies of the Baltic countries was held in Riga, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of N.K. Roerich. The book contains his materials: abstracts, theses, greetings, about 80 congratulations (among them from R. Tagore and S.K. Chatterjee, from the British Museum and from the Mark Twain Society in America), as well as essays sent by Roerich to the three Baltic countries "Latvia", "Lithuania", "Estonia". Copies of the book were sent as gifts to congratulators and persons who signed the Roerich Pact in Latvia. OCLC locates 11 holdings worldwide. Uncommon, this copy fine.
