Hardcover. iv, 385-508p., text-paper alkaline and in good condition, bound with very acidic/toned/fragile preliminary and terminal leaves (the first of which printed, a duplicate of the formal titlepage), endsheets are drab, not acidic, hardbound in 9.5x6 inch pebbled black cloth boards cover- and spine-titled bronze (most lettering obliterated by age & handling), casing a little edgeworn but quite sound. Text bears scattered small clouds of foxing, is fundamentally clean and unmarked.. pastedown furnished with an Alexander-themed personal bookplate, curious touch. Partial text, hellenistic (?) biography, "Ekkehards 'Excerptum de Vita Alexandri Magni' und Historia de Preliis
