About This Item
First Edition (presumed). Near fine / near fine. The late Professor Alfred Kroeber of the Univ. of California collected folk tales from the Yurok and allied tribes in northern California and southern Oregon from 1901 to 1907. He died before he could complete his compilation. His colleagues finished the job. Thoroughly researched and comprehensive, this collection was thought, by some, to be among the great collections of American Indian Folklore. The book is a little dusty along the top edge and leading edge, otherwise is in excellent condition. The dust jacket shows very slight shelf wear.
