About This Item

Harlem: Haryou / Harlem Youth Opportunities Unlimited, Inc, 1964. Softcover. Very Good. First edition. Quarto. 614pp. Perfectbound wrappers. Wrappers rubbed, faint dampstains on bottom page edges, very light crease on front wrap, a very good or better copy. Presumably an Advance Copy stamped "Confidential. Not for Publication" on the title page. Additionally with the ownership Signature of Alice Allison Dunnigan ("Dunnigan") on the title page. Dunnigan was the first black female correspondent to cover Congress and the White House. Massive study of opportunity, or the lack of it, in Harlem. Very scarce, with an interesting association.
