London: Sidgwick & Jackson. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1959. First Edition. Hardcover. Hardcover and dustjacket - VG/Good. Author's first book and quite a scarce title. Hardcover has light edge and corner wear, light soiling outer page edges, corners bumped. Book is slightly cocked forward at spine. Pages intact and clean with no markings. 284 pages. Jacket has light edgewear, scuffing and a few small tears, soiling to rear of jacket, not price clipped. "This is an unusual novel. The plot is indeed as old as the hills, it is the perennial story of a young girl emerging into the bewildering world of relationships with men .... She meets the challenge and determines to write a book which she will call the "Chemistry of Love", in which she will expound her theory that human beings react upon each other like the atoms in a chemical compound, and her relationships with men will be be part of a pattern of experimental research....." (400) ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall .

- U.S. Customers: Airmail options only. Surface mail has been discontinued. Expedited option is Tracked Packet or Expedited Parcel.
- Canadian Customers: due to Canada Post's excessive charges, shipping within Canada has gotten quite expensive. Prices don't increase dramatically with size and weight, so multiple items in the same order can be more cost effective. Also, items which can ship via letter mail will reduce shipping costs considerably. Feel free to inquire.
- International/Overseas (non-U.S.) Customers - Please Note: Due to recent extremely slow deliveries and customer complaints for overseas surface mail, I have had to switch shipping options to the more expensive tracked/insured option. The lower priced surface mail or airmail options may be available for lower priced items. Please inquire. Also, we cannot be held responsible for items lost in shipment if you have not chosen the tracked/insured method.
