New York: George H. Doran, 1927. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Black cloth over boards, title and decorations stamped in gilt onto upper board and spine, 12mo (7-5/8 inches tall), pp. 317. The first edition, with "Copyright, 1927", publisher's device and "A" on copyright page. Volume with light rubbing to extremities, text slightly toned and a small spot of binders glue noted between first and second fep near spine. Price-intact DJ has light edge wear with a few tiny nicks to spine ends, two light creases to flaps and a few finger prints to panels from handling. A Jazz Age romance wrapped in a great survival of this delicate gold-foil jacket, designed by Edmund Dulac and made from similar stock used in their 1927 edition of T.E. Lawrence's REVOLT IN THE DESERT.
