The first edition of this piece as the point of convergence for the Matriarch series from Stern. First edition. Includes a folding family tree to the rear. The final book in the popular Matriarch series, revolving around the Rakonitz and Czelovar families and based on the author's own family history. Written by Gladys Bronwyn Stern, an English novelist, playwright, and literary critic. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Original unclipped dust wrapper is also very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Minor sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Pencil inscription to the front endpaper. Near Fine
