About This Item

London: S. Birt, C. Hitch, E. Wicksteed, J. Hodges, and E. Comyns., 1752. Ninth Edition. Octavo, pp (2), 480, (8), a little marked and age-toned throughout, some lower marginal staining but otherwise in quite good condition, lacking the frontispiece (and half-title if called-for?), a small worm-hole to the top inner corner of the title page which is also lacking its lower corner - this has been replaced with a later paper corner with neat ink copying of most, but not all, of the missing text [see my illustration]. In a later binding of plain sheep, no spine lettering, and new endpapers. . Ninth edition. Full Leather. Good.
