Internally there is some scattered browning and foxing but generally clean. With 3 folding plates (two of musical notation and one of the solar system), one detached, one torn and defective, the frontispiece, and numerous in text illustrations. With an added piece of music in manuscript pinned inside. Daniel Fenning was the author of a number of influential educational works in the mid to late 18th century including "The Universal Spelling Book", "A New Guide to the English Tongue" and " A New System of Geography", a number of which were imported for use in the colonies.
