About This Item

New York: Harper & Brothers, 1881. Seventh Edition. Softcover. Very Good. 4to 11" - 13" tall. Good looking, structurally sound copy, staple-bound, and with previous owner's name (Daniel D. Atwood) written in pen atop first page. "Seventh Edition" written atop masthead, priced at at $.15, a fine contribution to the Harper's Franklin Square Library, which published whole novels each week for several years. Moderate wear to edges, mild toning, but clean and unmarked, housed in stiff plastic. Benjamin Disraeli (1804-1881) was a British Conservative statesman and literary figure and remains the only Jew to serve as Prime Minister in Britain. He is associated with the creation of the modern Conservative Party. The Young Duke was originally published in 1831.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
