About This Item
London: Macmillan and Co., 1879 viii, 335pp, [1], 39pp, bound in illustrated green cloth, with binding and hinges tight, illustrated. Covers show edge wear, bumped corners, covers scuffed, two letters in white to lower spine. Interior shows an inscription on the half title page, lacks the front free endpaper, foxing. Honestly I don't know how the English survived the brutal weather and conditions in early South Africa - a good read.
