About This Item
Lexington: (by the Society), 1913. First Edition. Octavo (24cm). Three-quarter blue cloth over yellow cloth-covered boards; viii,[1]-363pp; color frontispiece, 67 (of 68) unnumbered leaves of plates, most being halftone portraits; a few others in colors; text illus. Some external rubbing and wear, with reading creases to backstrip, but very nice internally; Very Good. Sadly lacking the final plate ("Our Colors").
A lavish commemorative volume for 20th Anniversary of the Kentucky Sons of the Revolution, especially useful for its catalog of Revolutionary Land Grants made to soldiers from Virginia (which at the time of Independence included all of present West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois). Uncommon.
