About This Item
Oblong 8vo, ½ morocco, original wrappers, illustrated, 24[6] pp. Top cover is detached, and back cover almost detached. A piece of spine chipped away, but glued back on. Normal foxing and aging. Wonderful book of American Civil War related caricatures, with limericks as captions. The tone is pro Union, and caricatures include those of Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. Some have a racist tone, but the comments clearly argue for a Union victory.
