Bookblock has age toning. Interior pages have age toning and foxing. Ownership sticker from previous owner on inside front cover. Interior binding is loose, all pages present. Tan leather, gilt letters on 4 raised band spine, gilt decoration along binding edges; 556 pp., few maps and document reproductions. The sixth volume only of a 12-volume set of these writings from the first American President. Comprised of: Official letters relating to the French War; Private letters before the American Revolution; Early papers; Death of Jumonville; Battle of the Great Meadows; Braddock's Defeat; The Ohio Company; Walpole's Grant; Miscellaneous; Fairfax County Resolves; American Independence; Brief extracts from a diary; Independent companies; Extracts from Washington's diary, 1760; and Journal of a tour to the Ohio River, 1770. Scarce, found on its own.
