One of the Landmark Books Series 8vo size green clothbound hardcover with blue and red decorations on spine and front cover; illustrated endpapers; 183 pages with green and black illustrations throughout. From page 136: "Today you could get on an airplane at Dayton and be at Kitty Hawk in about three hours. But it took Wilber and Orv a week to reach the lonely fishing hamlet... It is a place of sand dunes and gentle hills and no trees at all." Small, dark spot on outside pages which appears in the margin of fep and up to page 11. Name on fep, bumped and worn corners and head and heel of spine. Cocked spine. Ink scribble and white paint on back of book. Tiny spots in the margins of pages 44-45 and 80-81, page 137 has a production wrinkle and there are several creased page corners. . Cloth. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Landau, Jacob. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
