(B&W photographs) INSCRIBED and SIGNED on the ffep by Reuben Castang, at the New York World's Fair in 1939. A legendary trainer of circus animals, Castang worked for circus impresario Carl Hagenbeck, and also spent some time in Hollywood, training chimpanzees and other animals for the movies. The book's introduction is by Frank Buck, who considered it "not only a genuine pleasure, but a real duty to recommend this interesting book to every red-blooded boy in America." Lynn Summer with beautiful full page color lithographs in red, white, blue and black. Spiral bound in red plastic and in the publisher's original blue pebbled cloth with a white paper label stamped in black on the front cover. Sixteen leaves printed on both sides. Book measures 19 X 24.38 inches (48.26 x 61.93 cm.). Given out to potential donors or orgaizers as an invitation to participate. Also signed on the back invitation page by the fair's president Grover Whalen.

Six-panel (including front board) concertina peep show, all 6 panels printed in color, connected by thin parchment paper, landscape format, 6 7/16" x 5 1/16", unfolds accordion-style to 24". The vista shows the Flushing Meadows/Corona Park site of the 1939 New York World's Fair with two major constructions of the Fair -- the Trylon and the Perisphere -- in the distance. Minor foxing on final panel, minor handling wear, modest separation at ends along first bottom parchment fold. A scarce piece of World's Fair ephemera, lacking the original printed brown paper envelope in which it was issued..
