Bert Franklin for the Hakluyt Society, New York, No date. Reprint. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition. Introduction by W. S. W. Vaux. At the rear of the book there is a six page fold out map showing the route of the voyage of the Sir Francis Drake. Blue coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. This book is a reprint of the 1854 edition published by the Hakluyt Society from the original 1628 edition. As the title suggests Sir Francis Drake's recollections of the voyage around the world along with the memoirs of his chaplain. This book is part of the first series of the Hakluyt Society's first series of publications of 50 titles  this being number 16. Some minor rubbing and softening of the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Very minor age toning of the text block edges and pages. Remnants of a sticker to be seen to the top right hand corner of the free front end page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [9], II - XL, [5], 4 - 295, [1] pages,.
