About This Item

London: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co. Ltd, 1935. First English Edition. Hardcover. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 22 x 14 cm. Octavo. 300pp. 1 plates, figures. Blue cloth in dust jacket. Translated from the second German edition by R. B. MacLeod and C. W. Fox. Light staining to bottom of front of cloth. Previous owner's bookplate on front fixed endpaper. Toning to jacket at the edges and spine. Rare work. From the jacket flap: "This book deals with the problems of colour perception from an entierely new point of view. It endeavours to escape from the narrow confines of the laboratory and to preserve the closest possible contact with the nature of our experiences of everyday life. Whereas hitherto the studies of colour, which have found their way into the textbooks of psychology, have been concerned almost exclusively with physiological problems, here it is the genuine psychological problems which are considered.
