It endeavours to escape from the narrow confines of the laboratory and to preserve the closest possible contact with the nature of our experiences of everyday life. Whereas hitherto the studies of colour, which have found their way into the textbooks of psychology, have been concerned almost exclusively with physiological problems, here it is the genuine psychological problems which are considered.
