About This Item

Taipei Fine Arts Museum, 1988. Book. Fair. Wrappers. 311 pages. Paperback exhibition catalogue. Withdrawn from an art library, retaining the institution's stamped name on the half title page, and remnants of a label at the foot of the spine. Call numbers are pencilled on the page opposite the title page, but no other markings are found on the interior. There are other surface paper losses to the spine, with sunning to both the spine and adjacent portions of the front and back covers. There is some shelfwear to the edges, and a one inch vertical tear to the rear cover at the top edge. Text in English and Chinese. For all of that, the binding remains solid. Excellent essays by Foster, with additional contributions by Estera Milman and Ying-Ying Lai. Exhibition organized by the University of Iowa and presented in Taipei from June 11-August 7, 1988. Lavishly illustrated in black and white with works of art and seminal pieces of documentary ephemera, along with an impressive bibliography. An excellent reference copy..
