Boston: Desmond Publishing Co.. Very Good. 1899. Leather Bound. Subscription edition (there's a library edition, too). Seven half-leather volumes. Incomplete set, includes The Alhambra, Mahomet, Tales of a Traveller, Sketch Book, Astoria, Columbus and second book of Washington. No publishing date, but ca 1900. On all volumes, binding is tight. Pages are unmarked and barely aged, but with an occasional dog-ear. Ex-owner name written in all volumes. Gilt top edge. Tissue-protected frontispieces. Half-leather covers with gilt design and titles on spine, and gilt signature on front -- worn at most corners and spine tips, with top spine tips badly chipped on two volumes, and another two with spine covers slightly faded. ; Subscription Edition .
