Faber, 1964. First Thus. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. The best edition, and one which has always been quite hard to find. Complete in four volumes.This is a presentable set, the books are all clean, no inscriptions or annotation. The dust jackets are all price-clipped, a little sunned on the spines and show minor wear to edges. There is a section missing from the head of the jacket spine panel to Vol. 2 ( the wording 'The Works of'' being lost ) which has been neatly replaced with a photocopy taken from another 's jacket in the set. xii + 295, x + 574, viii + 415, xvii + 482 pages, a few illustrations, indexed.
