Boston: Dana Estes & Co, 1898. Hardcover. Very Good. "Revised Edition with Additional Notes." This is vol. 9 of a 12-volume set. 438 p., frontispiece and 3 leaves of plates; 19 cm. Half morocco with six spine compartments between raised bands. Gilt-tooled author and titles in second and fourth compartments; gilt-tooled decoration in remaining compartments. Blue-grey cloth over boards. Gilt-and-blue marbled endpapers. Small bookbinder's stamp on front free endpaper verso: "Brentanos, N.Y." Title page in red and black. "Illustrated Cabinet Edition" -- at head of title page. Contents: Timon of Athens -- Coriolanus -- Julius Caesar. No date of publication. Copyright 1881 by Estes and Lauriat, which became Dana Estes & Co. in 1898, the year it advertised this edition of Shakespeare's works. In Very Good Condition: edges rubbed, most heavily at corners; minor loss at ends of spine; clean and tight.
