Lacking Volumes 10-12, the set is otherwise complete. Period full brown calf polished calf over marbled boards, spines with raised bands, contrasting red and black morocco labels, and gilt floral tooling within elaborate gilt-bordered compartments, covers bordered with interlocking geometric devices in gilt, marbled endpapers (the entire set has been expertly rebacked in tan calf preserving original spines; red spine label of volume 6 replaced; boards rubbed at extremities; some wear to the original spines and labels; some foxing throughout).
