Burns is the national poet of Scotland, and is a widely celebrate author. He wrote mostly in the Scots language, and is best known for his poem 'Auld Lang Syne', which is sung at Hogmanay.Illustrated with a frontispiece. Collated, complete.Bookplate of John Maunsell Massy to the front paste down. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, with a small amount of loss of leather to the extremities. Small patch of loss to the head of the rear board. Hinges are starting. Bookplate to the front paste down. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with a few odd spots. Pages xi-xiv of the first part are detaching. Good
