Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece. The Works of Lord Byron Volume I: Letters 1804-1813. Gilt top text block edge. Rough-cut pages are lightly tanned and foxed throughout. Occasional thumb-marking present. Paper remnants to front free endpaper and half-title page, with previous owner's pencil marking. Newspaper clippings stuck to rear free endpaper and pastedown. Minor dog-eared corners. Binding remains firm. Minor creasing and small tears to text block edges. Boards have moderate edge wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Soft crushing to spine ends, with small split to bottom edge. Notable sunning to spine and edges. Minor black scuffed marks to all surfaces. Faint water staining to spine, with small black mark to top. Minor black marking overall. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.
