A complete two volume set of the Complete Works of Jonathan Swift. The volumes contain interesting and valuable papers with a memoir of the author by Thomas Roscoe. Jonathan Swift was an Anglo-Irish satirist, author, essayist and poet who is most remembered for his works such as A Tale of a Tub, Gulliver's Travels and A Modest Proposal.  With a frontispiece to volume one and a folding frontispiece to volume two. Bound by R, King & Son. Re-bound in half morocco leather with marbled boards. Externally, excellent. With a bookplate to both front pastedowns. Binders sticker to rear pastedown of volume two. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
