Jefferson Press, 1911. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Very Good ; No jackets. 1911-1912 Jefferson Press, Boston. Edition de Luxe. Published by arrangement with Charles Scribner's Sons. Introductions by William Archer. Complete in six volumes. Paginated as twelve volumes, two in each of the six volumes (12 volumes in 6). NOT ex-library. Hardcovers have blue cloth-covered boards with paper spine labels; labels have black lettering, red rules and a small leaf designs. Top edges gilt. Deckle fore and bottom edges. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Corners and spine ends lightly bumped and rubbed, with minor fraying at tips. Covers have light surface and edge wear. Paper labels are tanned. One volume has a half inch light spot on the front cover. Another volume has a small glue defect along the bottom edge of the rear endpaper, which caused another page to partially adhere to it. Another volume has small area of wrinkling from moisture along part of top edge of about one-fifth of the pages; wrinkling is only in top edge of margin. Pages clean and unmarked. Some pages unopened at bottom edges; some others unopened at the fore edges. No dust jackets. Translations by William Archer, Charles Archer, C. H. Herford, and Mary Morrison. Carefully packed, shipped in a box. This item will be shipped with signature confirmation required.
