Duodecimo, full leather boards with gilt title and gilt rules to spine. , b&w engraved frontis plate, light stain to lower engraved half-title, illustrated with b&w woodcuts, pp iv, 314. N.d. (1840). Some rubbing to corners, lightly rubbed to edges. Very good condition. A controversial medical work : a sex manual, obstetrics and midwifery book, first published in 1684 and banned in Britain until the 1960s. Boards.
