Front panel has an inlain motif of an angel and a harp, surrounded by gilt borders, floral patterns and gilt-decorated title. Blind tooling to the back panel with series title and vignette. All edges gilt. Spine bands and panel edges slightly dust-toned and rubbed as with age. Previous owner's inscription to recto frontis. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong. ; 8vo 8"" - 9"" tall; 738 pages; Description: iv, 738p. frontis. (port.) ; 19cm.
