London: Printed for W. Cavil, T. Martin, T. French, and J. Wren, 1795. Some light wear to boards edges and at extremities, some occasional light foxing. Generally in very good condition. 12mo (138 x 83 mm). Frontispiece in vol. 1, 8 other engraved plates. Contemporart tree calf, smooth spines gilt-ruled, a green morocco letteringpiece with Pope's name, and a circular red morocco piece bearing the volume's number. Provenance: James Melville, Torry, Scotland (1834 ownership inscriptions on front free endpapers). A lovely set of Pope's works in a fine 18th-century English binding.
