Original green cloth, spine gilt. Fine. In fine original slipcase. Nicely printed catalogue and biographical study of this important French artist in America. Jacques Le Moyne was a 16th-century artist who accompanied Ribault on his famous voyage to the Southeast United States, and is known for illustrating some of the earliest natural histories of America, including some of the first images of Native Americans.
