Limited Edition, this is "E" of 26 lettered copies signed by Tony Hillerman, Ernie Bulow, and illustrator Art Franklin, with an original pen and ink drawing ("Thief of Time - Chapter II") by Franklin laid in. A candid conversation interview with Tony Hillerman (1925-2008), in which the Edgar Award-winning writer discusses his life, literary career, and the craft of mystery writing. Also includes an autobiographical piece by Hillerman detailing his early years in Oklahoma, first encounters with Navajo culture, and his life as journalist and author, and "The Witch, Yazzie, and the Nine of Clubs", a Jim Chee mini-mystery. Octavo. In a one-quarter dark brown leather over brown buckram binding, with gilt stamping. A fine copy, housed in the publisher's slipcase.
