Original invoice and correspondence from the publisher enclosed.. Limited leather-bound, deluxe edition (No. 86/100). Printed limitation book-plate, numbered and signed by Oliver Rackham. This was the first of the New Naturalist volumes to be issued in a special leather-bound, deluxe edition, and was limited to only 100 numbered and signed copies. The deluxe edition was issued to celebrate the publication of the one-hundredth title in the series, and was available by special ballot; the first 100 randomly selected applicants being offered the chance to purchase a copy. Later volumes in the series increased the number of leather-bound copies to 150 or 250.. [9780007250431]
