About This Item

Oakland: Women's Press Collective, 1971. Pamphlet. [96p] 6.75x8.5 inches, illustrated with about 30 drawings most on onionskin plates, stated second edition. The first printing was a mimeographed issue of 1,000 copies. The quote from SCUM (Society for Cutting Up Men) on the title page has led some to mistakenly interpret this collection as a publication of that group. The first mimeographed printing raised enough money to purchase an offset printing press and Judy Grahn and others founded Women's Press Collective in Oakland, their first book being this reissue.
