About This Item
Privately printed, 1930. Limited Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Siegel, William. During the Carnival in Seville, a Frenchman falls under the spell of a young andalusian woman and learns of her sordid history with his friend. Stated limited edition of a new translation and one of only 2500 such copies, though the line for the actual number out of said 2500 has been left blank. Pages are browned but are in remarkable condition with no writing, marks, or underlining. There is a bookplate bearing a former owner's name on the front pastedown endpaper. Spine is tight and crisp. Boards are flat and true, and the corners are square. There is no dust jacket, and the boards are moderately worn, especially along the edges where the dark coloring has worn away to the brown underneath. Spine is still quite legible with the title and author, as they are on the front board where they appear in gold gilt. This collectible, limited edition copy is protected with an archival mylar cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
