About This Item
First edition hardcover with dust jacket, published by Warner, 1987. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. Not a remainder copy. The classic account of the work of Dian Fossey, who lived in isolation studying the lives of mountain gorillas of the Virunga region of Rwanda and Uganda. 380 pages with Index and two sections of color photos. Gray colored boards over black cloth covered spine with the author name and title imprinted on the spine in gold. Boards are flat, only the bottom right corner shows a very slight bump, very light edge wear to the boards. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. Top edge of the text block show a couple of bumps from shelf wear, and some smudge marks from use. Dust jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Some very slight sun fading to the title on the spine panel. Not a remainder, not a library discard. The binding is tight and square. Page 223 has some transfer in the gutter from the color photo section of the previous page, a narrow vertical band in the gutter of about 1/4" wide - a printing issue rather than a storage or wear issue. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
