First US edition, second printing with 12 Park Place address and the frontispiece and vignette title page inserted rather than pasted on to the stub of an excised leaf as it is in the first printing. 12mo in cloth. Frontispiece and vignette title page. 383 pp. plus 12 pp. publisher's catalog dated Feb. 1855. VG. Very light wear. Gilt titling darkened on spine. Binding is strong; text block is tight. Previous owner's name neatly written in pencil on the title page, otherwise pristine interior. A nice copy. Ships wrapped in bubble wrap and packed securely in a box.
