Very good.

NY, Argosy, February 1952, first edition, wrappers. Softcover.. Pages 51-82, profusely illustrated with b&w photos from the 20th Century-Fox film that starred Marlon Brando as Emiliano Zapata, it also starred Jean Peters and Anthony Quinn, it also includes a note from Jerry Mason, the magazine's editor, on how this novelette by Miller, based on John Steinbeck's screenplay, came to pass, Goldstone & Payne G25, not recorded by Morrow. Very good.

First issue with line 16-17, page 5 reading "with proper credentials and apparently" that in subsequent issues read "with proper credentials and who," also with 20 titles by Conrad listed opposite the title page which in subsequent editions lists 21 titles, also with the error noted by Keating 126 on lines 6 and 7, page 248, the American edition precedes the British by four months, Cagle A38a(1), Smith 22. Bit of age, very nearly fine.

Garden City, Doubleday, Page & Company, 1920, first edition, first printing.. Original blue cloth, it precedes the British edition, Cagle A49a(1), Keating 131. Very good plus.

London, Macdonald, 1987, first British edition, first printing, dust jacket. Hardcover.. First book in this trilogy of erotica by Anne Rice using the A. N. Roquelaure pseudonym. Pages slightly tanned as usual, else fine.

Brunswick, Rutgers University Press, 1958, first edition, first printing, dust jacket. Hardcover.. The first full-length critical study of Steinbeck, Goldstone & Payne F42, Morrow 591, very scarce in the first printing, this is a Review Copy with review slip, very scarce thus. Fine in a very good jacket.

n.p. (NY), RCA Victor, 1955, first edition.. This is an original cast recording of Pipe Dream which was adapted from Steinbeck's novel, Sweet Thursday, by Rodgers and Hammerstein II, No. EP EOC-1023, includes three 45 rpm records housed in a folding slipcase, this copy carries the "SPECIAL ADVANCE EDITION" sticker on the front which some believe makes this a promotional copy, but, according to Miles Kreuger, president of the Institute of the American Musical, the cover credits omitted Judy Tyler's credit, these first issue album covers were then "fixed" by adding the advance edition label, inside liner notes by Rudolph Elie, Pipe Dream was presented in a number of formats, including this one, but none were in the Adrian H. Goldstone collection, this format not recorded by Goldstone & Payne or the Morrow catalogue. Records are fine, slipcase is near fine.

Jacket designed by Biro, Steinbeck provides his own foreword to this third of his play/novelette experiments, Goldstone & Payne A29b, Morrow 207. A rather cheaply produced book, thus nearly fine in a clipped jacket with some wear at extremities and some tape reinforcements to the verso.
