Brisbane, Queensland : Gordon & Gotch, 1938. 15th Edition . Printed boards. Fair to Good Condition. Small Octavo. Binding is tight bu the last paper page is attached to the board and a gap at the bottom of the page reveals the binding Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting Pages are browned and there is some scattered foxing and marks on a few pages Edges neat and clean but browned Front board has some holes (insect damage) which has impacted the first few pages, boards are faded and there are marks on the back board. There is a small tear and chip on edge of front free endpaper The cookbook was published in aid of the Queensland Presbyterian Missions and contains many recipes from old Australia including Sheep Head's Broth, Giblet Pie, Curried Rabbit plus handy hints (Hints for the Inexperienced Cooks) and recipes for furniture polish and home-made soap plus lots more.
