About This Item
This is a handsome, fine binding copy of "The Winston Simplified Dictionary" with a slip case. Published in 1938 by The John C. Winston Company. Nicely bound in full leather with decorative end papers and gilt page edges on all sides. Indexed. The dictionary features numerous in-text illustrations. "Concise Edition - with every word defined so that its use and meaning can be easily understood."
Condition:
The book is in Near Fine condition - clean both inside and out with only a light smudge to the leather along the bottom edge of the back cover, and a small area at the top edge of the spine where the leather has peeled. Clean interior - the text pages appear unread with no issues found. Bright gilt page edges on all sides of the text block. The front end paper has a name written in pen at the top edge. Nice slip case - clean with only some light tanning to the panels.
