Complete in 12 volumes. 23.5 x 15.5 cm. Octavo. Bound into full burgundy leather with gilt design, lettering, and foredges. 5 raised bands to spine, black spine labels. Moire endpapers and ribbons. Unused Easton Press bookplate laid-in for each volume. Illustrated throughout with maps and photographs.
The work was originally published in 8 volumes between 1966 and 1988. This edition has split each of the last 4 volumes into seperate books to make them more managable. Titles are: 1: Youth. 2: Young Statesman. 3: The Challenge of War. 4: The Stricken World. 5: The Prophet of Truth, part 1. 6: Prophet of Truth part 2. 7: Finest Hour, part 1. 8: Finest Hour, part 2. 9: Road to Victory, part 1. 10: Road to Victory, part 2. 11: Never Despair, part 1. 12: Never Despair, part 2.
