About This Item
New York: Fleming H. Revell, 1901. Hardcover. Good with no dust jacket. Illustrated by Dyer, William Buckingham. Pages crisp and clean except for some toning at endpapers and edges; front hinge starting; full cloth hard cover has lost some of the gilt and ink on the spine titles and shows fading along the spine, spots of wear at corners, a surface wrinkle in the cloth at the lower rear, and a few small, grayish smudges, but is overall sound and attractive. 260pp. Detailed instructions on how to look and magnetize like Sarah Bernhardt while being virtuous, tidy, practical, accomplished in appropriate arts and knowledge, able to earn money but quicker to serve a husband and a church, willing to do missionary work, uncomplaining, accurate, not excessively emotional, and a permanently, but never crassly, evangelical Christian Protestant.
