Portland, Maine: Thomas B. Mosher, for the author, 1899. Special Limited Edition. Softcover. Fine. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. The front cover and first and second half-title pages punctuate the book's title differently than does the title page, which differently mispunctuates, but this Special Limited Edition of only 725 copies was hand-printed on Van Gelder paper and still stands most proudly alone on a bookshelf. Two quite faint brown stains to front cover else about Fine. Bound in stiff card stock wraps in gate-fold, leading to half-toning opposite folds both front and rear, else is clean, tightly bound and quite bright of interior. Translated into English verse from the original Latin by Symonds. Dedicated to Robert Louis Stevenson. Frontis matter + 190 pp. + colophon, noting October 1899 printing.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
