About This Item
Wilton, CT: Self Published, 1900. Good book with light soiling and staining to cloth, and tiny stain on page fore-edges that has bled slightly into margins of six leaves. Laid into the book is a painting on stiff cardboard that, according to an inscription on the reverse of the front free endpaper, was done by the author, Marian Olmstead, in memory of James Lawrence Stevens; the front free endpaper is missing its top corner and tears in the other corners indicate that slits were made to hold the painting. In addition, the page facing the inscription has had slits made in its corners to hold a photo, which is probably that of James Lawrence Stevens. . Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
