Folio size. Limited Edition in slipcase. Combining biographical narrative with over 200 faultless facsimile reproductions of Shakespeare documents, this magnificent, hand-bound edition is limited to 200 copies, of which this book is number 63. It is printed on Goatskin Parchment and signed and numbered by the Elizabethan scholar and author S. Schoenbaum. The spine and corners are bound in an exclusive Pinseal grained rich brown Morocco leather, ornamented with genuine 22 carat gold stampings. The spine has raised bands, gold title and banding. The sides are covered with a complementary light brown buckram with Shakespeare's facsimile signature and coat of arms stamped in gold; the edges are gilt on all sides and inside are French marbled end papers with a tissue guard in between, both in the front and in the back of the book. The book has a brown satin ribbon marker matching the color of the leather. The slipcase is covered with buckram and has an attractive label with a marbled paper border on the side. This book includes the original prospectus.
